Steelhead are one of fly fishing’s most legendary pursuits. This Explorer experience introduces anglers to migratory fish returning from Lake Superior to rivers along Minnesota’s North Shore and Wisconsin’s South Shore.

Participants learn essential skills such as reading steelhead water, understanding seasonal timing, and fishing both swinging and indicator techniques with longer rods.

For many anglers, steelhead offer the chance to land a true “trout of a lifetime” without leaving the region. Their seasonal migrations create limited windows that make the pursuit even more rewarding.
